The Project Office and Public Foundation “International Fund for Caspian-Aral Basin Ecosystem Revitalization and Flood Management” Sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Project Office and the Public Foundation “International Fund for Caspian-Aral Basin Ecosystem Revitalization and Flood Management” have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The parties acknowledged the need for focused attention and collective action to address the environmental issues in the Caspian-Aral basin, which includes protecting these delicate ecosystems. They have committed to joint efforts to safeguard and restore the Caspian-Aral basin from ecological and biodiversity impacts. Ensuring environmental sustainability by engaging all stakeholders, including international organizations and institutions, and securing international funding for ecological restoration are key areas of their cooperation.

Given that 2024 has been a significant year for floods and flood control in the country, the parties also agreed to collaborate on flood prevention, mitigation, and management.

Both parties expressed their gratitude and optimism for a long-term and productive partnership.
